Dear Friend of the Dimon Institute,
In keeping with our mission to teach the art and science of self-awareness, we're pleased to offer two online courses this fall: a free series of classes in October, and a formal course this November.
November Course: A curriculum based on “Evolution of a Technique”
Last month, Ted Dimon held a read-through of “Evolution of a Technique,” the opening chapter of F.M. Alexander’s book The Use of the Self. Unique among Alexander’s published writings, “Evolution of a Technique” offers first-person access to his experimentation, discoveries, and ultimately his achievement of a higher stage of awareness. Its focus is not on his work with pupils, as is so often the case in his other writing, but on his own insights and burgeoning knowledge.
As important as it is, however, Alexander’s story does not offer a proper path of study for the student who is interested in replicating what he accomplished. For that, a practical curriculum is indispensable. This November, Ted will cover some elements of the curriculum he has developed, called Sensorimotor Awareness.

Free October Class: The Developmental Movement Project
The stages by which a child learns to achieve upright posture and the full range of motor skills is a remarkable journey from the most primitive to the most advanced forms of balance and locomotion. As adults, studying these developmental movements makes it possible to effect improvements in the working of the muscular system and to gain insight into how to move efficiently.
Join Ted online beginning October 20th for a series of practice-oriented classes on developmental movement. This series is an introduction to the upcoming 8-week formal course on developmental movement Ted will be offering in Spring 2026.

As always, we appreciate your commitment to learning and look forward to seeing you online.
Warm Regards,
The Dimon Institute
