Dear Friend of the Dimon Institute,
In keeping with our mission to teach the art and science of self-awareness, we're pleased to share new resources to support our community of learners: a week of follow-up classes, a free online series of classes in October, and a new insight piece.
Free Follow-up: F.M. Alexander’s “Evolution of a Technique”
We want to thank everyone for joining us at Ted Dimon’s guided read-through of “Evolution of a Technique.” We were honored to have so many people at this event, and it was inspiring to see everyone’s eagerness to engage in deep, close reading of this seminal chapter by F.M. Alexander. The recordings of the series are already up and available for everyone to view.
In response to overwhelming enthusiasm, Ted will be offering four more days of classes as a follow-up to this lecture series, beginning this Monday, September 22. These will be practice-oriented classes, in which students will be exploring the major ideas of “Evolution of a Technique” experientially. These sessions will also be recorded.
If you’ve already enrolled in the “Evolution of a Technique” series, there is no need for new enrollment.

Free October Class: The Developmental Movement Project
The stages by which a child learns to achieve upright posture and the full range of motor skills is a remarkable journey from the most primitive to the most advanced forms of balance and locomotion. As adults, studying these developmental movements makes it possible to effect improvements in the working of the muscular system and to gain insight into how to move efficiently.
Join Ted Dimon online beginning October 20th for a series of practice-oriented classes on developmental movement. This series is an introduction to the upcoming 12-week formal course on developmental movement Ted Dimon will be offering in Spring 2026.
